The Mission of the Comfort & Joy Project:
To spread comfort and joy by removing the financial barriers that make celebrating holidays and commemorating special occasions an unnecessary source of stress for low-income families. |

The idea for The Comfort & Joy Project came after a local mom posted on a community Facebook page in need of assistance paying for a Christmas tree. Her kids had been asking for one for weeks. All their friends had a tree; how could Santa come without one? It broke her heart. |

She simply couldn't afford one. |

The thread exploded. There were organizations that could help with gifts, but what about the tree to put them under? There was nowhere to turn and families who needed help.
If there was such a need for Christmas trees, what about other holidays and special occasions? |
Thus, The Comfort & Joy Project was born in 2021!
